Are fabric designers ok with people selling products using their fabric?
I currently sell jumpers that I make by hand with designer fabric. I’d like to take my business to the next level and outsource the production of these dresses, buying the fabric in bulk. The question I have is, will these designers be ok with products being made with their fabrics?
Typically they are not ok with it — and it depends on who designed the fabric and whether they will want to pursue a lawsuit against you and whether they have filed for copyright protection for the design
